Build-up: Java Edition

We focus on making all the discussions within Build-ups really thoughtful and engaging, that's why we love to organize fireside chats with stellar cloud experts, who are giving insightful answers and sharing their great learnings!

How exactly it works?

We start with a keynote speech, which is a more classical way to share the info, followed by QAs session.

After that, we have 2 fireside chats! What is that?

Fireside chat is an informal conversation between a moderator, audience and our guest:

BYOP (bring your own problem): share your case and ask expert's opinion during the fireside chats,
Cloud AMA(ask me anything): prepare your thoughtful questions for our experts within Java topics.

Enjoy free access, hear from cloud leaders and be the first to learn what's new. Get inspired to build!

Tech talk: 15 must-have factors to build cloud-native applications

The original 12-factor app methodology helped to lay out some of the key characteristics needed for cloud-native applications… but… as our cloud infrastructure and tooling has progressed, so to have these factors.

In this session, we'll dive into the extended and updated 15 factors needed to build cloud native applications that are able to thrive in this environment, and we'll take a look at open source technologies and tools that can help us achieve this.

Specifically, we'll demo how you can implement the three additional factors that were added in the 15-factor app methodology: API first, Telemetry and Authentication/Authorization. Attendees can follow along and get hands-on with MicroProfile, Open Liberty, Jakarta EE and more with our browser-based interactive coding demos.

Bizzabo is changing the way the world does professional events. The Bizzabo Event Experience OS is a data-rich open platform that allows Event Experience Leaders to manage events, engage audiences, activate communities, and deliver powerful business outcomes — all while keeping attendee data private and secure.

They help Amazon, Uber, Bloomberg, HubSpot and others create more human events using our event management platform.

Last year they raised $138 million. This year Bizzabo acquired four companies to bring the best event experience to their users. This month they released their brand new platform for running hybrid events. And this is only the beginning.
